1. Ultimate Motivation — Driving me crazy
They say “Time is Money”, obviously, I mean just look at some of the hardworking people out there working in high-rise skyscrapers(these days WFH obviously) from morning to evening in a fixed pattern, are they rich or are they simply happy and contented? I don’t need to answer this, since, you are intelligent enough(I can assume this, right?).
So, what is there when they “Time is Money”?
I think in today’s era it should be rephrased to “Time Management is Money”. All that distinguishes is this “Management” word. Here are a few of the pointers I would like to bring forward in order to understand this in detail and will help you to design a “Perfect Time” for yourself.
2. So much to Achieve — You’re not an Encyclopedia
It is often said that “A lot of choices may often result in stagnation as anxiety is not good when it comes to learning”. We tend to make up huge silos of “Bucketlist” and eventually make ourselves confused on what to start with and what to stick on. This needs to be controlled very maturely and the need is there to identify and to declutter that very decisively. Choose what is important first and what will help you in long run. Cross out which is time-consuming but giving less output and focus on what is achievable and more output driven. “Do one thing at a time” is the key and don’t indulge yourself in Multitasking, chances are high that later on, you’ll not be giving your 100% in any of the things you’re doing. Even Computers perform one-task at a time(not noticeable though because they are very fast..booooommm).
3. 80/20 Rule — Very Famous from Eat that Frog by Brian Tracy
Do what is important first, and then do what is less important and don’t bother about the “least” one at least(pun intended). In her book, Eat that Frog, it is very well recommended to “Eat the ugliest Frog” first, what does it mean? It means, to complete what is harder and gives you more output OR which acts as an Input to other important tasks. Identify what is more important to you. Experts say that 20% of our work determines 80% of our life. So don’t run behind “Non-Important” tasks the moment you get up from your bed. Cross out what is “Important” and then you’ll have sufficient time to do some of the “Non-Important” tasks as well.
4. Buffer Zone — “911”
Keep sufficient “Buffer Zone” in your schedule so as to address unwanted events and dynamic tasks. This is a life savior approach, as you never know what comes up(I can’t predict my future, can you?). So it’s important you keep this and make sure not to keep it too big or too small(pH ~ 7).
5. Be Dynamic, Be Bold
Have enough control over your willpower to follow your schedule very diligently and have enough power to change it when needed. Confused? Even I am. So, it’s high time to retrospect on what are we doing and how things are going on. Take feedback from the people around you, ask them, am I doing better? am I giving enough time to our relationship? Is there anything that needs to be changed? These things help you to analyze and design your “Perfect Time” in a “Near Perfection” manner.
6. Cheat Day — Come on, don’t be boring!
Do I need to elaborate on this? I guess no, just read the heading again and do whatever you want to do that day.
